Apple completes testing of ultra-thin 15-inch LCD for MacBook Pro?

Posted on by Aycardo10 in Apple, Gadgets, Technology, Updates | Leave a comment

Sources say that Apple has finished work on test units of a 15-inch LCD for an upcoming ultra-thin laptop from Apple. The report calls the new machine a 15-inch MacBook Air, with the use of integrated SSD and lack of optical drive being the most notable changes allowing for such a thin design. While we don’t know for a fact, we expect that any future “ultra thin” laptop from Apple will also dispense with a built-in optical drive. As evidenced by its recent release of the optical drive-less Mac mini, Apple has no problem leaving physical media behind.

It’s been nearly three years since the MacBook Pro last had a significant design change, so you’ll need some eagle eyes to tell these new models apart from its predecessors. Seriously, Thunderbolt even uses the Mini DisplayPort connector, so the only distinguishing characteristics are the lightning-strike Thunderbolt icon on the port row and a subtle new texture to the aluminum lid. Oh, and the SD slot is now SDXC. Almost everything else is exactly the same: the still-best-in-class keyboard and glass multitouch trackpad, the standard glossy display, the ports, the sealed-in battery, you name it.

On August 11, 2011, the US Patent & Trademark Office published a grand patent application from Apple that reveals their plans of integrating mini or pico-like projectors into future iOS devices while introducing a likely projector accessory for MacBooks. I personally have heard quite a few rumors about future iPhones with integrated projectors on the internet, but will this be a reality?

Apple Gets Samsung Galaxy Tab Blocked In Most of European Unioun

Posted on by iHDTechnology in Android, Apple, Technology | Leave a comment

German news agency DPA is reporting that Apple has been granted a preliminary injunction against Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy Tab 10.1. From the result of that situation the tablet is effectively barred from distribution across all of the European Union, sans the Netherlands (at-lest for now) This act is from Apple because of iPad ‘copiers’ or itemidatars of copying the iPad. Heres what Apple Said

“Apple asked the Landgericht (district court) of Düsseldorf, Germany, to order an injunction under which Samsung is threatened with fines of up to EUR 250,000 (US$ 350,000) for each violation or imprisonment of Samsung’s management in the event of continued infringement. Those are standard sanctions under German tort law for contempt of a preliminary injunction.”

UK Police Synced with apple?

Posted on by RRain in Apple, Gadgets, Updates | Leave a comment

Riots breaking out in London yesterday, following the major riot in Tottenham after a high ranking gangster was shot on site after shooting at a police officer and missing. A picture was recently tweeted by @Joe , the picture depicts police vans guarding an Apple store, when just down the road a Sony warehouse is being burnt by rioters. The riots  themselves are 400-500 strong in areas of London and are now being seen to spread out of London, Birmingham was the host of the latest riot yesterday. The Sony warehouse was 20,000 square foot and a spokeswoman said that they have not been allowed in to investigate yet. Fire engines were not scarce in these riots, but police were in many areas and firemen were in too much danger without protection. I don’t think anyone could go as far to say Apple bribed the police, that is an audacious accusation but they did seem to be paying extra attention to the Oxford Circus Apple store.

Earlier today Google released an updated version of its new iOS application. The app is now available for the iPod Touch and the iPad, something that should have been done since the beginning. There is still no native application for the iPad as the one that is currently available now is only the iPhone version, only bigger. As to why Google id not do this is strange, but we will probably see a native application for the iPad sometime in the near future. There are some stability improvements in the update along with some new features. To get the application, you can acquire it through iTunes on the web, or download it directly from the app store. Let us know how you are liking it.

iOS 5 beta 5 has just been released yesterday, but there are already news of of the date in which beta 6 will be released. According to some developers that cracked the OTA update date code, beta 6 will be released on August 17, which lies on a Wednesday. The developers that came up with this theory also predicted the exact date of beta 5, and they were right. If you are a developer, you should be looking forward to this, but if you are one of the many people that have their UDID registered without you having an account, take a look at our article below, talking about the selling and buying of UDID slots. You might want to be a bit careful, just to be on the safe side.

Apple almost most valuable company?

Posted on by Marcos Suliveres in Apple | Leave a comment

As Apple stock keeps rising, we expect great things from the company. On Thursday though, Apple took a hit as it plunged below 400. Just two weeks ago, Apple was only 50 billion dollars short of being named the most valuable company in the world. The title is held by Exon Mobile at the moment with 366 billion dollars. As of Thursday, Apple has come that much closer and is at 350 billion, putting it just 16 billion short of the title. We do expect this to happen, unless there is a drastic change in the stock market, which is always possible. With all of Apple’s products being big sellers in today’s market we do not anything less. Do you think Apple will overtake Exon Mobile in the coming days?

Android to ‘overtake’ Apple?

Ever since Apple launched its original and revolutionary iPhone, there has been talk that it’s newer developed rivals like Android surpassing Apple despite its Marketing dominance. The times recently published speed and other test results for five of the best Android phones against the iPhone. The Samsung Galaxy II came out as best for speed, the Motorola Atrix for versatility, the HTC Sensation for ‘All-round skills’, the HTC Evo 3D for design and the LG Optimus for games. Android’s Gingerbread system allows the phones to use battery more efficiently, the Galaxy was found to open apps quicker than the iPhone and also web pages loaded faster.
