On August 11, 2011, the US Patent & Trademark Office published a grand patent application from Apple that reveals their plans of integrating mini or pico-like projectors into future iOS devices while introducing a likely projector accessory for MacBooks. I personally have heard quite a few rumors about future iPhones with integrated projectors on the internet, but will this be a reality?

Apple Gets Samsung Galaxy Tab Blocked In Most of European Unioun

Posted on by iHDTechnology in Android, Apple, Technology | Leave a comment

German news agency DPA is reporting that Apple has been granted a preliminary injunction against Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy Tab 10.1. From the result of that situation the tablet is effectively barred from distribution across all of the European Union, sans the Netherlands (at-lest for now) This act is from Apple because of iPad ‘copiers’ or itemidatars of copying the iPad. Heres what Apple Said

“Apple asked the Landgericht (district court) of Düsseldorf, Germany, to order an injunction under which Samsung is threatened with fines of up to EUR 250,000 (US$ 350,000) for each violation or imprisonment of Samsung’s management in the event of continued infringement. Those are standard sanctions under German tort law for contempt of a preliminary injunction.”

Google + for iOS becomes universal

Earlier today Google released an updated version of its new iOS application. The app is now available for the iPod Touch and the iPad, something that should have been done since the beginning. There is still no native application for the iPad as the one that is currently available now is only the iPhone version, only bigger. As to why Google id not do this is strange, but we will probably see a native application for the iPad sometime in the near future. There are some stability improvements in the update along with some new features. To get the application, you can acquire it through iTunes on the web, or download it directly from the app store. Let us know how you are liking it.

Minecraft for the Appstore?

Posted on by RRain in Apple, Apps, iPhone 4 | Leave a comment

Particularly after its beta release, minecraft’s user base has grown exponentially, and because of this there were always talks of it being ported to platforms other than the PC. Both the PSP Go and the Xbox 360 welcomed the arcade game, and there has been widespread rumors of minecraft going on the Appstore. So far there has been an unofficial release of a version of the game, this was NOT released by notch, or anyone related to the mojang team. Notch was well aware of this and on twitter said that himself  and mojang were in no way connected to the release, but it was quickly pulled off. Notch hasn’t denied a future release but hasn’t conformed one, and I think that this leaving the door open definitely hints towards iPhone, iPad and iPod touch having access to Minecraft through the Appstore in the future. Perhaps after it has settled in well on the Xbox and PSP Go? Or maybe Mojang are waiting till the final release of the game is ready or even waiting for the iPhone 5’s release?  If we do ever see Minecraft on the Appstore, we can definitely expect Mojang to cut back on a few features, though I think playing creative will still be bearable. The picture simply a concept, but could be a very real possibility with thumb areas for moving and placing blocks and somewhere to tap on the screen to change blocks? The rumors will continue to flood the internet, and it looks like Mojang will continue to play it cool and keep quiet. What do you think, would you like to see Minecraft on the Appstore?

Apple almost most valuable company?

Posted on by Marcos Suliveres in Apple | Leave a comment

As Apple stock keeps rising, we expect great things from the company. On Thursday though, Apple took a hit as it plunged below 400. Just two weeks ago, Apple was only 50 billion dollars short of being named the most valuable company in the world. The title is held by Exon Mobile at the moment with 366 billion dollars. As of Thursday, Apple has come that much closer and is at 350 billion, putting it just 16 billion short of the title. We do expect this to happen, unless there is a drastic change in the stock market, which is always possible. With all of Apple’s products being big sellers in today’s market we do not anything less. Do you think Apple will overtake Exon Mobile in the coming days?

iMessage – A serious competitor?

Posted on by RRain in Apple, iOS 5, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch | Leave a comment

iMessage is a newly introduced and long awaited feature of iOS 5, it is Apple’s entry into the world of instant messaging. The new-born IM app is being seen as a rival for BlackBerry Messenger and other instant messaging apps on smartphones, but will Apple use its marketing dominance and vast funds to overshadow its earlier developed opponents. There are talks of it being linked with iChat which is a much similar system for Apple computers, iMessage enables users of the iPad and iPod Touch to ‘join the conversation’ aswell as iPhone users. Jonathan Geller of BGR writes his views on iMessage spurring on a new form of social networking from Apple, could they follow in Google’s path after it recently released Google+ which is Google’s initiative for users to interact with each other on top of GTalk. I think that iMessage will remain fairly low key until the official release of the iPhone 5 when it will rocket and devoted Apple users will be in near constant use of this new feature! Buy and large, friends will interact more through their iPhones, iPods iPads and share even more stories with added media.

Use Your iPhone Or iPod As External Keyboard For iPad

Posted on by Ben in Apple, Apps, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch, Tutorials | Leave a comment

Readers who gave iOS5 Beta Versions a try on their iPad will know that it allows users to split their keyboard into two parts for more comfortable typing, yet, if you still have issues with that because of the larger screen, you can always use your iPhone as a keyboard. How so? With a new app called External Keyboard for iOS devices.

The app works by connecting a user’s iPhone/iPod touch to their iPad. This connection is formed over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The greatest advantage that this app provides is how the many languages available only on the iPhone/iPod like Greek, Arabic, Portuguese etc. can be used on the iPad.
