Sony’s new portable console called the PS Vita will not be coming out in the U.S and Europe until early 2012. Many were anticipating a Christmas release date in the United States, but according to Sony Executive Vice President Kazuo Hirai, that only holds true for Japan. The console will be released later this year there. The PS Vita WiFi only model will sell for 250 dollars, while the 3G model will sell for 300 dollars. Many analysts say that Sony’s sales will take a huge hit as the Christmas season is when people buy the most. The PlayStation Vita was also looking to be a serious competitor to the already released Nintendo 3DS, and with Nintendo’s poor form of late, it looks like that will be a true statement, but with Sony’s new claimed release date, will this also diminish Sony’s sales? Will you be getting a PS Vita when it is released?
